Let me elaborate further on edit history feature.
It simply means no matter how a member edit his post, the edit history will contain his original (before edit) post, time and date.

For example, i edited my post 3 times.
My 1st edited post: Take Man Utd
My 2nd edited post: Take Roma
My 3rd edited post: Eat Man Utd and Roma

If edit history is enabled by default, all 3 of my edited post will appear in my edit history listing, together with time and date, of course.

This is important to combat unscrupulous members who edit their picks after loses.
Of course this can be eliminated with the assistance of our dear members who quote his/her post, but what if in the event nobody quote him/her?
Or worse his/her thread is totally empty and no reply at all?

FAQ by Tipster Legend™.

Q1: What's contribution?
A1: Only posting of tips is counted as. Other forms of contribution is not accepted, and are counted as void and null.

Q2: How to turn forum members into coward?
A2: You block them! When they've no way to defend themselves, they're coward!

Q3: How to win a debate/argument?
A3: There are many ways in fact. You can assemble keyboard warriors or SJWs to defend yourself. You can even create multiple dupes to 'blind' the members that you in fact have a lot of defenders.

Q4: I won 1 and lost 4 matches. What should I do?
A4: You're encouraged to celebrate your win and ignore the 4 losses. Nobody will harp on it even if you lost overall. Make sure you celebrate like wild!

Q5: What's the worst, most useless and meaningless suggestion did a forum ever receive?
A5: Disable post replies. WIN!

Honestly, I don’t understand what you’re suggesting.
Perhaps, I’m not tech-savvy enough to appreciate your proposal.
Are you suggesting that members be allowed to edit their post after 30 minutes as opposed to the current situation now after your proposed implementation?

Need your attention on the above issue, @AsianBookie

this is a good idea kind of like how wikipedia works. It means to show his current pick, and then show also the changes he made when he last edited it.

However there is some technical issues due to fonts and how to display the history. We will work to see how to best implement it.

Thanks for the explanation bro.

Maybe I'm too general.

Ok, let me elaborate further.
My original post: Take Man Utd (posted on 01.01.2019, 1.58pm)
My 1st edited post: Take Man Utd (edited on 01.01.2019, 2.00pm)

My 2nd edited post: Take Roma (edited on 01.01.2019, 2.08pm)
My 3rd edited post: Eat Man Utd and Roma (edited on 01.01.2019, 2.13pm)

Since I've edited my post 3 times, the current /ab system only display my last edited post, which is eat Man Utd and Roma.
What about my original post, 1st and 2nd edited post?
Yes, you may say that /ab has edit limitation of 30 mins.
But what if this happens in jalan/in running forum?

Unscrupulous members can hijack this loophole if they post their 1st half tg over pick at 25th min, and edit at half time.
It's still within 30 mins.
Nobody can see his/her original post after edit.
We can only see the time and date of edit.

Just implement it with new window, Mr AB, just like how the amount of likes and we can see who likes the post.
Once a member edit his/her post, edit history feature will be enabled by default.
A good placement will be beside like button, as it's visible to everyone.

It doesn’t matter if I understand, bro since webmaster does.
I sincerely believe it’s a good implementation if all members can subsequently edit their first post to add in subsequent picks and results if required with the history in place to ensure the integrity.
Using myself as an example, if I can’t edit my picks to add in the W or L post-match, most members would have no clue given the variety of my bets and even if they do, it’ll be after an arduous verification process.

Unscrupulous members don't talk integrity.
They just want to cheat and scam.
Kind of hit and run.

What we can only do is to minimise or better, eliminate this possibility.

Justice will always prevail in the end, bro.
There are many eagle-eyed members here who will report on such undesirable behaviors.
Having said that, prevention is always better than cure

Is there a BB that is having this? vbulletin? phpBB whereby I can take a look?

This will involve some changes to the current system as each "edit" will technically be a new post rather than just editing the post.

Can this edit function with the ability to capture its history be implemented soon?
As a non-admin now, I fully feel the inconveniences of not being able to edit the first post in a thread when new bets are posted much later.
This is perhaps one of the reasons why multiple threads are opened daily in each forum when picks are posted for different kick-off times.
For your consideration please  @AsianBookie

One of the reason of not allow editing after time lapse is to prevent people from editing their losing picks in the first place. So this is working as expected.

Normal members cannot edit 1st post by adding in new picks.
Most of them don't even scroll down and look for new picks.
They refer to 1st post only and some even post blindly.

Bumping up my old thread regarding edit history feature.

For the kind attention of Mr  @AsianBookie
This is an overview of how edit history works.

With this, a TS is free to add/edit/delete his/her picks at the first thread whenever/wherever he/she likes since edit history feature was introduced. Whomever is doubtful about his/her first initial picks are free to view his/her edit history.

I too, agree with wembley that it's not fair to penalise everyone because of a small factions' mistakes, especially if they're genuine tipsters, who post multiple picks. But sadly, majority of us only see the first post, and miss out the remaining posts.

In any way, this edit feature will help bro  @nil  since he has assumed the responsibility of compiling the list of tipsters and for his tipster tracking purpose.

WIN!

 @AsianBookie , @andyjyneo

For me, it’ll be a big help for  @nil  if I’m able to edit my result at a convenient time post-match.
Games come thick and fast and I’m often unable to edit the result in time.

For others, as Andy mentioned, I’m sure they’ll rather consolidate all their picks in the first post than having them scattered all over within their threads.
